DipFA past papers and test papers
If you are hunting for DipFA past papers, the honest answer is that they are not published. The awarding body does not release live exam papers. What prepares you is a paper with the right format, the right difficulty and the real pass mark.
Below is how to practise so it counts, and 34 timed papers built to the current MCQ structure — FSRE plus AFAT, AFAI, AFAP and AFAR. Module 6 coursework is not included.
How to use practice papers so they actually work
1Sit the first one cold
Do not revise for your first paper. A diagnostic you score 45% on tells you exactly which topics need work.
2Time it from the second paper on
AFA units give you 30 marks in 45 minutes. Practising untimed builds a habit you cannot use in the exam.
3Work the explanations, not the score
Read the explanation on every question you got wrong and every one you guessed correctly.
4Finish on a harder paper
Papers run easier → harder within each unit. Clearing 70% on a Harder paper is a better readiness signal than clearing it on the entry paper.

DipFA past papers — common questions
Are there official DipFA past papers?
No. The awarding body does not release live DipFA exam papers, so genuine past papers are not available from any legitimate source. What exists are specimen or practice materials written in the exam's style, and third-party mocks such as these. Anything advertised as a real 'DipFA past paper' is either practice material or someone's recollection of questions they sat.
Are these real DipFA exam questions?
No, and we would not publish them if we had them. Every question here is written from the current syllabus to match the style, difficulty and mark allocation of the live assessments. They are pitched slightly harder than the real thing, so a pass here should be a comfortable pass in the exam.
Which DipFA units have mocks?
FSRE (FRE1 and FRE2) and the four Applied Financial Advice modules — AFAT, AFAI, AFAP and AFAR — two exam units each. Module 6 is coursework, not a multiple-choice exam, so there are no mocks for it.
Can I get a free DipFA test paper?
Yes. FRE1 Paper 1 is free in full — the same FSRE paper CeMAP candidates sit — with explanations and no sign-up. Every other paper opens a free five-question preview.
Do these use current tax figures?
Yes. Taxation, pension and wrapper questions use 2026/27 UK figures unless a question says otherwise. Older 8.75% dividend rates and the abolished lifetime allowance are not treated as current.
