How much does DipFA cost, and how long does it take?

DipFA is a Level 4 diploma. The awarding body charges for registration and for each assessment; training firms charge again for classroom or distance courses. Fees move, so treat every figure below as the order of magnitude you should budget, then confirm on Walbrook’s own pages before you pay.

Exam and resit fees

• A typical all-in Walbrook figure for the diploma assessments is around £1,400.
• Modules can be entered separately. FSRE is often in the region of £330; each AFA module around £275; coursework around £215 — check the current list.
• A resit is typically around £110 per unit. That is the number that makes a £29.99 mock library look cheap, not a classroom week.

How long it takes

Most candidates measure DipFA in months, not weekends. FSRE is quickest if you already hold CeMAP. The AFA modules are where study time stretches: tax and retirement in particular punish outdated notes. Module 6 coursework has its own calendar. A 12-month registration window is common; rushing all six modules in a few weeks is how people buy resits.

Course vs mocks

A taught DipFA course can be £175–£650 a module, or the better part of £1,000–£2,000 as a package, on top of exam fees. That is tuition. Timed mocks are the missing layer: they do not replace a tutor, and they do not write your Module 6 fact-find. They stop you booking an expensive sitting on the back of untimed quizzes.
